1) 20-Year Workmanship Warranty (National Gutter Guard)

We warrant that our installation workmanship will be free from defects for 20 years from the installation completion date.

What’s covered

  • Defects arising from our installation methods, fixings and workmanship.
  • Re-attendance to rectify workmanship-related issues (e.g., loose fixings, improperly seated mesh, misaligned trims) that cause water ingress or premature product failure.

What’s not covered

  • Damage or faults caused by: building movement, roof defects (e.g., rusted/failing gutters or fascias), wear and tear, lack of maintenance, blocked downpipes unrelated to our work, storm/impact/animal damage, or subsequent works by others (solar, antennas, roofers, cleaners) that disturb the installation.
  • Issues resulting from products outside specification for your environment (e.g., severe coastal/industrial exposure where a different material grade is required) if specified against our written recommendation.
  • Any product/material defect (covered by the product manufacturer’s warranty below).

Our remedy

At our option and cost, we will repair or re-install the affected section to meet our workmanship standard. If repair is not commercially practicable, we may choose a refund of the reasonable cost of the affected installation portion.

2) Product Warranties

We install gutter guard systems from reputable suppliers. Their manufacturer warranties apply in addition to our workmanship warranty. Where there is any inconsistency, the supplier’s published warranty terms will prevail for product-related claims.

2.1 Gutter Guard Warehouse — 20-Year Product Warranty

Covers defects in materials (including corrosion, coating adhesion/peel, and mesh integrity) for 20 years from installation, when installed to the supplier’s specification and maintained as recommended.

2.2 Blue Mountain Mesh — 12-Year Product Warranty

Covers defects in materials and coating performance for 12 years from installation, when installed and maintained to the manufacturer’s specification.

Note: Different products/materials may be specified for different environments (e.g., aluminium vs. steel; powder-coated vs. raw; bushfire/BAL ratings). Suitability for severe coastal or industrial environments may require specific product grades and fixings.

3) Maintenance Requirements (all warranties)

  • Inspect visually at least annually (and after major storms).
  • Remove accumulated debris from atop the gutter guards once a year.
  • Avoid aggressive cleaning methods (no high-pressure blasting at close range; no abrasive pads or harsh chemicals).
  • Keep overhanging branches trimmed where practicable.
  • Arrange re-securing if third-party works disturb the mesh or trims (solar installs, roof repairs, etc.).

We can provide paid maintenance services if you prefer.

4) Exclusions & Conditions

  • Warranties apply to the original installation address and are transferable to a new property owner for the remaining term if you provide proof of purchase and we are notified.
  • They do not cover consequential or indirect loss, or pre-existing building defects.
  • Environmental/force-majeure events (e.g., hail, cyclone, falling branches, pest/animal damage, fire/ember attack) are not workmanship defects; please consult your home insurance.
  • Any alteration, removal, or modification by others without our approval may void the relevant portion of the warranty.

5) How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact us using the details above with your name, address, installation date (approximate is fine) and a description of the issue.
  2. Provide evidence – photos or short videos are very helpful.
  3. Inspection – we will assess remotely or on site. If the fault is covered, we will schedule repair/re-installation or assist with a product claim to the supplier where applicable.
  4. Outcome – workmanship issues are remedied by us; product defects are remedied in line with the supplier’s warranty (repair/replace the product and reasonable associated labour).

We aim to respond within 5 business days. If urgent (e.g., active roof leak), please call.

6) Your Rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. These rights apply independently of the warranties above.
